1978 Black Fender Telecaster
Maple board
black 1978 Fender Telecaster...she is no longer available, she now plays in Oklahoma!
But here is some information I can give about this great Tele!
here is a nice player with the xlnt tone that appears to just get better with age... without having to fork out the two to three thousand washingtons for a nice old guitar investment...
you won't be too afraid to play this one...
the Tele lead pickup's solder joint was cleaned up... it is the very sweet stock gray back 1978 pickup... as is the neck pickup.
This guitar was used primarily for slide work and frets appear original and very nice... the pick guard I believe should be a black/white/black version and was included... the white one actually is more appealing the eye... must be a particular preference...

the body has a couple of wear marks and scratches... the most noticable mark can be seen in the picture above on the edge just below the straplock above the neck...
not the original case, but it's an oldie and a goodie!

the back side bridge pickup

here is a shot of the top

the pickup was obviously removed and put back... I had to clean up the excessive solder and cleaned up the solder points.
... I will regret this one for sure, but another guitar is in my dreams and I have to at least find a good home for this one first...

compensated brass bridge... Danny Gatton would have liked this one!

this neck and the tone is the reason I picked this guitar...the best part about these nice older guitars is the value investment ...not too many scratches... belt buckle rash is really just very minor light scratching... probably from wearing jeans and not really "Belt Buckle Rash" the frets are very lightly grooved... obviously not played heavily, but the tone is very very cool!

thanks for stopping by!

Ike theTortoise not included!
