rocket 70

telecaster style rockin' blues machine

wow! what a saweeeeeeeeeet rosewood machine eh?

I will kick myself for this for sure... well you know how it is... this guitar can rock and it can sing the blues as well... I can't even recall all of the exotic hard woods used on this Rocket 70... yes... Rocket 70 pre TL 80 Custom Lado guitar here with all of the killer tone woods of the $1,800 to $2,200 TL 80 at half the money!

Macassar Ebony... Ziricote... Brazilian Rosewood... Lacewood... Afromosia... and I think... Mexican Rosewood...this guitar is near mint condition and everything works like it is supposed to... no issues here whatsoever... OHSC included...

Pickups are supposed to be the German made Customs for Lado Guitars... I only know what I was told by the previous owner... the Dual Blade Humbucker in the neck position sings very warm and can growl a bit thru my Marshall... thru the old BF Super Reverb she shines so sweet  as well... I am partial to the neck pickup tones on all guitars and can say that the sound on this lead pickup is just awesome thru the jcm 800... and xlnt as well thru the Fender... I read a bad review on a Lado at Harmony Central and I cannot figure that one out as I do not see anything like that her... just a very well made... High Craftsmanship... very playable guitar...

I am a Rosewood Freak and a Tele freak as well and this guitar is nearly like having one of those awesome Fender Rosewood guitars... the weight is very comfortable as the body is mahogany with that awesome top!

The Tremolo stays in tune very well (sign of high craftsmanship right from the factory!) and the gotoh tuners are just the sealed units not lockers...

the black binding is very good looking against all of that black trim and the three way switch, single volume and tone work smoothly... the switch could use a shot of cleaner but hardly worth mentioning...

oh and that flamed maple neck is just the nicest flame I have seen! the neck is nice and thin and the rosewood board is dark and grainy... just the way i like em'!

frets are nice and medium... not wide like a Les Paul... not too skinny like 57 Reissue Strat... and not too high... and frets are like new! ... this guitar was in my showcase most of the time... a pretty but effective tool she came out to the studio and never left the house... very clean !!
